American Assassins

The American Assassins were the branch of Assassins located in and around the United States.
In 1503, a group of Italian Assassins traveled to Constantinople and infiltrated the shop of Piri Reis, an Ottoman admiral and cartographer. They obtained a map detailing the New World, and the Assassins started sending men there to ensure their presence to fight back against the Templars, who were also branching out to the Americas.
In 1510, the Assassins in Florida welcomed the refugees Alonso Carlo and his adoptive son Miguel Ramón Carlo de Lugo, who had become enemies of the Templar-influenced Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de León.
Miguel Ramón was taken into the Assassin Order, and was sent in 1521 to stop De León from continuing his search to find the Fountain of Youth.
The American Assassins also became heavily involved in the American Revolution in the later half of the 18th century, namely the Assassin Connor Kenway, who became a close friend and ally of George Washington.

Turkish Assassins

The Turkish Assassins, also known as the Seljuk Assassins or Ottoman Assassins during the time of the Ottoman Empire, were the Turkish branch of Assassins, existing since their formation during the later half of the 13th century.
Existing throughout two different empires, the Turkish Assassins were mainly involved in a struggle against the Byzantines, the Eastern European embodiment of the Templars. Even after the Byzantine Empire was dissolved, the Byzantines posed a threat to the Assassins, as they were determined to revive their fallen empire. Until the ultimate fall of the House of Palaiologi, the Assassins kept battling their Byzantine rivals.

Italian Assassins

The Italian Assassins were the Italian branch of Assassins, existing since their formation during the latter half of the 13th century.
Primarily led by the Auditore family, the Italian Assassins were mainly involved with taking down the corrupt Borgia family, the ruling body of the Templar Order during the Renaissance.
As far as we know, this is the first Assassin Branch to allow Women into the ranks, and high ranks at that. For example, Claudia Auditore was second in command while The Mentor traveled to the Turkish Assassin Branch and then onto Maysaf.

Levantine Assassins

The Levantine Assassins, also known as Hashashin, were the branch of Assassins located along the Levant, and the leading branch of the Order during the High Middle Ages.
Primarily fighting their sworn enemies, the Knights Templar, during the Crusades, the Levantine Assassins were a more public organization than the other Assassin branches. Centering themselves in their fortress in the village of Masyaf, the Assassins quite often found their headquarters attacked by both Crusaders and Saracens alike.
